2020 results of MCNtelecom: A 30% increase of the subscriber base in Europe and the launch of mobile services for individuals in Russia
Telecom operator and software developer MCNtelecom, ended 2020 with better than expected results. This included revenue growth and a significant increase in the number of customers in the B2B segment of Europe and in the B2C segment of Russia.
2020 was a year of new challenges, changes and relative success for MCNtelecom.
During the past 12 months, the operator launched fixed-line services in an additional five large regions of the Russian Federation. These were, Vladimir, Pskov, Saratov, Syktyvkar and Ulan-Uda, where it began offering telephony, standard and beautiful numbers and a virtual PBX with multiple free functions for small and medium-sized businesses. By the end of 2020, the stationary telephone network of MCNtelecom in Russia covered 65 large regions of the country.
MCNtelecom's revenue growth during 2020 was small, but despite the constraints caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is still noticeable - about 0.5% compared to 2019. The number of B2B subscribers in Russia increased by 2.4% and at the same time, the average revenue per one business client grew by 5.4% and is now €42 per month.
There are also positive results in the development of software products and the development of the telecom platform (Paas). During the past year, MCNtelecom subscribers both in Russia and in Europe were presented with a new software product called "Voice Robots", which together with a Virtual PBX automates incoming and outgoing calls. For outgoing calls and dialogs, two types of auto-calls are used: transactional and bulk.
In the first case, the data for the call is downloaded in real time from CRM/ERP systems using the API, and the call is made according to a configured scenario, in which you can provide a connection between the subscriber and the call center operator.
In the second option, the contact list is uploaded to the auto-call via the personal account from the file. In the task, the script is configured, that is, the method of call processing by the Voice Robot. Select the auto-call parameters and the criteria for completing the call by contact. The task completion period and call schedule are determined and a report is generated based on the results.
During the past year, the "Robot Controller" service has been significantly improved, allowing you not to miss a single incoming call to the company, and the function of speech synthesis and recognition on a Virtual PBX has also been improved.
In addition to the previously available direct free integrations of MCNtelecom: these being, amoCRM, Bitrix 24, Roistat, retailCRM, SalesPlatform, Envybox, UMI.CMS and Albato - during 2020, integrations with Apix-Drive, 1C-Rarus and S2 CRM platforms in Russia, plus YCLIENTS and amoCRM in Europe were also added.
The mobile virtual communications operator MCNtelecom, which has been implementing the MVNO project for business since 2018, entered the mass segment in September 2020 and began offering mobile services to individuals in eight large constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the format of a home region and in other cities where there is a network radio access Tele2, in guest mode.
In just 3.5 months, MCNtelecom has integrated 21 regions into its home network. These regions are Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Barnaul, Voronezh, Izhevsk, Krasnodar, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Kirov, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Orel, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saratov, Tomsk, Chelyabinsk and adjacent regions.
MCNtelecom offered subscribers an unusual approach to TRUE COST pricing for the telecom industry, when the cost of services includes the cost of production and taxes, and the operator's remuneration is included in the subscription fee.
From the 1st January 2021, there is another new tariff for individuals. This is FIXED PRICE, which, unlike TRUE COST, does not have a subscription fee, and all outgoing calls within the Russian Federation are calculated at a single price of 1.99 rubles per minute. This service also features per-second billing, which is important for those who are used to saving on minutes and do not want to overpay for rounding up.
The number of subscribers using MCNtelecom mobile services was about twenty thousand at the end of December 2020.
Business in Europe
The pandemic has made its own adjustments to business development in Europe, but did not have a very negative impact on the financial results of MCNtelecom.
The group's revenue growth in European countries during 2020 was recorded at the rate of 3% and the growth of the customer base at the level of 30%. This contrasts with the average revenue per European subscriber decreasing from €30 to €20.
MCNtelecom has become a prominent player among alternative fixed-line operators in Hungary over the past two years. As in Russia, Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, and Germany, the telecom operator offers solutions for small and medium-sized businesses, including VoIP telephony, multi-functional Cloud PBX, Chatphone, Virtual numbers, SIP trunks, and so on.Back to News
